Ergonomics 101

One of the most important lessons I have learned is that working at my laptop for 12 hours without a break will cause my neck to hurt. Really badly. I should have known it, I guess, but I get so involved with my work that I simply forget to pay attention to my posture. After a particularly bad episode of neck pain, I decided to set up a little ergonomic laptop workstation.

Going Green

If you look carefully at Lifehacker’s Coolest Workspace Contest winner photos you might notice something interesting. There are neat, messy, playful, serious, shiny, orange, do-it-yourself, and expensive workspaces. But something is definitely missing from practically every photo. That thing is …life. More specifically plant life. Those green, leafy, oxygen producing, beautifying, stress reducing, decorating accessories that adorn so many offices and homes. Why not the home-office?

Telecooler Rocks!

Erin Rice, one of the former Isenberg MBA Students/graduates who helped give a birth to Telelcooler, and currently is one of the prominent authors at Telecooler, landed an interview with Gil Gordon, founder of Gil Gordon Associates, one of the foremost telelcommuting experts, and an author of a number of books about telecommuting
