2) What can I do at Telecooler?
TeleCooler is for you to communicate with the world!
At TeleCooler, you can do lots of cool stuff:
- Read articles related to and about telecommuting – how to better organize your office, product reviews, tax deduction tips, overview of related regulations and hr questions.
- Connect with other telecommuters – find peers
- Find job postings with telecommuting options
- Search through a comprehensive database of telecommuting links,
- Read blogs of other telecommuters, leave your comments,
- Create your own blog! And let the world know about your life experiences.
You are important and your experiences are valuable and important.
3) I lost my password, what do I do? Don’t despair! Under the “Login” button you’ll find a “Lost Password” link. Click the “Lost Password” link and provide the details requested. You’ll have a new password in no time!
4) Can I have my OWN blog at Telecooler?
Yes, you can have your own blog at Telecooler. Tell all your friends!
You should give your friends the URL: http://www.telecooler.com/index.php?option=com_mamblog&task=show&action=user&id=YOURUSERNAME

5) How do I start a blog?
You must register and log-in to start writing your blog.
After you log-in, you will see a “User Menu” on the left side of the page.
Just click the “Write a blog entry” link in the menu and you are ready to blog!
To add images to the blog entiry, you need to upload images to your own online storage area elsewhere. We are working on giving you an option to upload images to Telecooler.
To add an image, follow these steps:
1. Pre-Upload images elsewhere
2. Choose the Insert Image tool - small tree icon on the top
3. Enter the FULL URL -- f.e. http://www.mystorage/images/image1.jpg
4. Change the size and appearance as desired
5. Click Save
6) What are Communities all about?
Telecooler Communities have special interest Groups where you can meet with others and exchange information.
Under Communties you can Create or Join a Group of interest.
You have to be registered and logged-in to create your own group or join a an existing group.
7) How do I join a discussion Group? You must register and log-in to join a group or create your own!
To Join an existing discussion Group:
- Go to Communities tab
- Look through the list of Communities available and discussion Groups under Communities
- Click “Join Group” next to the discussion group of your choice. Couldn’t be easier!

To Create your own discussion Group:
- Go to Communities tabClick "Create your own group"
- Type "Group Name",
- Write short intro "About Group",
- Choose Group Type from Open, Private, by Approval Only (see Group description in the next question)
- Chose "Group Category" from the available categories in the drop down menu.
- Click "Submit"
Start posting your thoughts for the Group.
Invite others to participate!
9) What Types of Groups are available? There are three types of groups:
- Open groups
Everyone is welcome to read posts in Open Groups.
- Private groups
Private group can be created by a registered user to discuss things only between those who she chooses to invite for discussions. Unless invited, you can not join the group and can not see posts.
- Groups by Approval Only
Groups by Approval Only are created by registered users to discuss things with certain members. You can request an approval to join the group and if the owner of the group likes you, she will approve you participate. Explore the established community groups, and feel free to start your own
